Here's my thinking: thread in a new plug and drive home, then install a helicoil with the save-a-thread kit, this guy here. I'd need to let it sit overnight, and I'd rather it be in my driveway... Web14 sep. 2012 · Pull the cylinder, use a unworn-out drill press (no sloppy spindle), use a drill (one that just fits the undrilled hole) in the press to center the hole as the cyl is clamped to the table, drill the hole, then use the press spindle by hand to start the Heli tap square by atleast three threads, time consuming but simple.
