To use PHINMS, each laboratory must set up a separate electronic connection with the central cancer registry system in each state or territory it serves. This is a lot of work for large laboratories. WebbIt also provides instructions to install and configure PHINMS to send and receive messages from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and CDC partners. PHINMS is updated periodically; refer to the PHINMS website at www.cdc.gov/phin/tools/phinms for the most current release of PHINMS software.
