Income support doesn’t stop at the same time as dla and carers, it continues for 8 weeks with a disability premium so it was due to end 18/10/19 My son was then awarded pip after MR on 1/10/19. Both pip and carers were backdated to when the dla stopped so there was no break in entitlement. If you are claiming income based ESA then you can claim Carer's Allowance but the money is used as income and deducted from your ESA. You will then be given a Carer's Premium on top of your ESA. I suggest you wait till six months have passed since the falls started in November before reapplying. And do get help to do it from Age UK or CAB.
